Join us from 3-5PM on Saturday, July 17th for a workshop and lecture by Courtney Weber and George Courtney, creators of "Tarot of the Boroughs." "Tarot of the Boroughs" is an urban, contemporary Tarot deck set in New York City utilizing original photography and featuring many well-known faces including Moby, Jonathan Ames, Lilith Dorsey, Reverend Jen Miller and many, many more! You'll hear from the creators about their journey to create this sensational new deck as well as what it takes for would-be Tarot artists to see their visions come to life. Second half of the class will include a Making Your Own Deck workshop. Whether you have a deck in progress, have perhaps thought about making your own, or are completely new to the process--this class will be fascinating, informative and oh...so...satisfied...
Copies of "Tarot of the Boroughs" will be available for sale!
Courtney Weber is a Priestess, writer and Tarot Consultant based in Manhattan. Since beginning reading Tarot at the age of 15, she has cultivated a bi-coastal clientele base. She has lectured on Tarot all over the NE region and will be starting graduate work at Union Theological Seminary as a Masters of Divinity Candidate. George Courtney is a Manhattan-based photographer whose work has been printed in "Time Out New York," "The Village Voice," and "Artnet," among many others. "Tarot of the Boroughs" has been featured in the New York Post, beehivehairdresser.com, and the Tarotosophy Society Magazine.
