Mushrooms have long been using in cooking, both for the flavor and texture they impart to any dish, and for their health benefits. Selecting the right mushroom for the right dish is an art form, not to mention pairing the right wine!

The mushrooms will be provided by the renowned mushroom expert Todd Spanier has spent a life-time studying all varieties of the delectable fungus. He is known to San Francisco?s top chefs as ?The King of Mushrooms ? for his expertise and the beautiful wild organic mushrooms he provides to them.

I am delighted to have Todd as our special guest to share all the mysteries of mushrooms, including how to select and prepare them. He will also share secrets about little known mushrooms that will make you the culinary wonder within your group of friends (or at least know how to order them from a restaurant menu!) Todd will also discuss wine pairings and mushrooms.

Along with the mushrooms we will have five different Pinots to taste from the world?s leading Pinot regions: Burgundy, France; Willamette, Oregon; Mendocino, California; Pesaro Italy and Colchagua Valley, Chile. All wines will be available for purchase at a 15% discount.

The event is scheduled for February 10 starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $49.00, which includes five wine and mushroom pairings. But hurry. Interest in the event is high and we only have a limited number of tickets to sell, so purchase your ticket today. Advanced ticket sales only. Cutoff date to purchase tickets is February 5th.
