Help an abused Elephant

From: Alan F.

Dear Alan,

This week, the elephant Nosey has been hauled to Ohio, where she's being forced to give rides at The Great Lakes Medieval Faire now through August 17. Nosey needs you to speak up for her! Please urge fair organizers to cancel Nosey's appearance immediately and to pledge never to host her again.

Nosey's exhibitor, the notorious Hugo Liebel, has been cited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) again and again for mistreating Nosey by shackling her with short chains, denying her veterinary care, and failing to handle her safely. Last year, Liebel was ordered to pay $7,500 to settle charges of nearly three dozen animal welfare violations. A board-certified veterinarian and elephant expert who reviewed Nosey's case stated, "This is the worst, most prolonged, documented example of an uncorrected case of suffering and abuse in an elephant I have ever reviewed."

Nosey needs your help! Please join PETA today in politely urging The Great Lakes Medieval Faire to cancel Nosey's appearance right away and to pledge never to host her again.

Thanks for everything that you do to help animals!

Sincerely,

Rachel Mathews Signature
