What happens in an Internet minute?

"In just one minute online more than 204 million emails are sent. Amazon collects about $83,000 in sales. Around 20 million photos are viewed and 3,000 uploaded on Flickr. At least 6 million Facebook pages are viewed around the world. More than 61,000 hours of music are played on Pandora while more than 1.3 million video clips are watched on YouTube. 100,000 tweets are sent, 320 new Twitter accounts are recorded, and 20 people are victims of theft of identity. And this is just the beginning.

Today, the number of connected devices is equal to the world’s population. By 2015, in less than three years, the number of connected devices is expected to double. And by the time we reach 2015, it would take five years to view all the video content crossing the network each second."

These statistics are pretty crazy. Just think of how many of them are of kittens doing ridiculously adorable things, people taking pictures of their lunch and the obligatory "I'm bored" status updates. We, here at FQTQ, are happy to contribute some awesome content to the world wide web.

Fun fact: Today, it's estimated that humanity generates more data in two days than it produced in all of history, up to the year of 2003.
