Thank you for checking out the Vegetarian Society of Tulsa Meetup. We are a group of people who first and foremost do not eat animals. Our reasons for this choice are as individual as our members. Some of us are also vegans, meaning we do not eat or use products that are made from any part of any animal. That includes eggs, dairy and honey as well as anything derived from the processing of animals.

Some of us are interested in reducing the suffering of animals in the factory farming industry, where the overwhelming majority of meat, eggs and milk come from. Some of us are trying to create a world where all animals are treated humanely and with respect. And there are those of us who are looking forward to sharing recipes and vegetarian/vegan food with other people in Tulsa.

Most of all, we are just happy there are others like us in this community. And we'd love to get to know each other.

Welcome to you all, and remember we meet the first Saturday of every month.

We created this group to share information about a plant-based lifestyle and to inform people about the activities of the Vegetarian Society of Tulsa. We are basically gentle folk. Please refrain from these behaviors or we may need to remove and block you from the group. Thank you.
