For this winter home season I came up with this workshop/solo concert concept...

Get a bit of the warmth and swing of Brazilian Music at your place
with few of your friends........ and please let me know asap so we can
get it in the calendar!

This is about two hours FUN WORKSHOP plus about one hour SOLO SET! -
To start, I will give a little
intro to the ORIGINS of the music, and then we will do some BASIC
VOICE TECHNIQUES and warm ups using our whole body, sing a few
melodies, and do rhythm exercises to set the FOUNDATION OF SAMBA,
BOSSA NOVA AND BAIAO.

All the RHYTHMS of samba percussion instruments will be "translated"
to our vocals and we will put together an ensemble, interchanging
parts, and do more than just "understand":  We will FEEL how EVERYTHING
WORKS TOGETHER and really DIG DEEP IN TO THE GROOVES!

 Its really FUN to do the "MOUTH BATUCADA" and feel FREE to IMPROVISE
MELODIES and HARMONIZE with all the voices... ( I will also give a bit
of insight on hand percussion instruments, like the pandeiro)

This EXPERIENCE will end UP and in a HIGH, with DANCING VOICES -  The
MAGIC OF BRAZILIAN MUSIC RHYTHMS and MELODIES shared in a very
intimate and supportive environment is sure something to sink into....
And it wont end there, because, they will APPLY THE NEW INFO to their
OWN MUSIC and instruments, and better their listening skills.

When we finish, we will take a brake to drink and eat the potluck, and
then I will play a SOLO SET ...(there will be opportunities for
participation in some songs, applying their NEW LEARNED SKILLS! )

All levels WELCOME!

$400 for 10 or more people... as many people you may have(will be
cheaper per person), but I would prefer a smaller crowd , so I can
give more personal attention.
