Re: [dnd-823] Meet Once Or Twice A Month?

However, at 2x a month, you'd have the opportunity to select one if the other doesn't work for you. Jessica and I, for example, can never attend a Sunday mtg together, but could on a Saturday.

Therefore, if one was on a Sunday and the other on a Saturday, we could attend the Saturday meeting and not have to look to every other month to attend.

I see the Meetup more as an opportunity to MEET people who like to game or want to join a game as opposed to a way to Keep gaming with folks.  I'd argue that each month alternate the Sat. or Sun Meetup (even month Saturday, odd months Sunday etc.).  If you do a Meetup 2X a month then folks who are already running a game will have to have their game AT the meetup or try to squeeze in 2 extra game times each month!

If there are folks who want to meet 2X a month then they should pick a GM and run an adventure every other week!  Sounds like a custom made gaming group.

My thoughts.

Subject: [dnd-823] Meet Once Or Twice A Month?

Good Morning, All:

At last Sunday's D&D Meetup, someone made the suggestion that we consider meeting twice a month instead of once a month. To find out what people think about that subject, I have create a poll to gather your thoughts. If you could, please visit the poll and choose one of the options so that I can get an idea of whether we should schedule a second Meetup each month. You can find the poll here:

http://dnd.meetup.com/823/polls/124501/

If we do have a second Meetup each month, I thought it would be best to schedule one on a Saturday and one on a Sunday, to give people an opportunity to attend at least one a month, in the event that they normally game on one of those two days on a weekly basis.

If you have any specific thoughts or commentary, please feel free to post it here so that we can all share in the discussion.

With Regards,
Fly nn
