Subject: RE: [fibromyalgia-301] Fwd: FM HealthWatch - The Mack Truck and Me: Mornings with Fibromyalgia[address removed]> I have also seen Dr. Kowal and have had several RF ablations in my back by him. I think his clinic is understaffed, but I have found Dr. Kowal to be pretty good for procedures at least- he really mainly just does procedures and probably medications, but he doesn't really coordinate your care.

Hi Megan,Sorry this may be past your appointment time, but yes, I have been seen by Dr. Andrew Kowal, director of Lahey Pain Management. If you want to discuss and/or compare experiences I'd be glad to do so.Joy M.[address removed]

The Mack Truck & Me: Mornings with Fibromyalgia
"What would a reasonable response look like to awakening with searing pain? You might cry out, whimper, rush (with help) to the emergency room, or fear moving at all," writes Psychology Today pain blogger Deborah Barrett, PhD.
"Getting up and going on with your day as if nothing were wrong would feel inappropriate, even absurd. No? Yet living well with fibromyalgia can involve observing and then ignoring the feeling that you've been hit by a Mack Truck." read more »
