IF YOU LIKE TO SING OR PLAY AN INSTRUMENT, WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!!!

We sing all kinds of music! We sing traditional songs, songs from the folk and folk/rock era, songs by today's indie/folk musicians. And what's a sing along without some Beatles songs, pop songs, rock songs, show tunes, and standards. We really mix it up!

There is a very modest dues of just $5 per year. The dues help cover Meetup fees, Zoom fees and costs for special events. It is collected through the Meetup site. Once you join SOJO, you have a 30-day trial period so you can come to a session and see if you like it before committing to paying annual dues. If you want to become an active member, just enter in your payment information. After the trial period ends, the $5 will be transferred to Meetup.

Here's what happens at a SOJO: We take turns selecting songs for the group to sing and play (passing's OK). Many of our songs come from the Rise Up Singing and Rise Again books, so if you have copies, bring them along. (If you don't, you can share or borrow one from us.) You also have the option of handing out lyrics and chords to a song not in the books. Whatever you do, \*ENTHUSIASTIC PARTICIPATION\* IS THE KEY!

We meet the first and third Saturday of the month from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in a comfortable indoor location in Arlington, VA, close to metro. There is plenty of parking available in the area.

We also meet remotely every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 via Zoom.
