Rustin Buck posted in German Center Houston Rustin Buck 6:26pm Dec 5 I am a German teacher in Sugar Land and the director of Houstonfest, the regional German competition for students in grades 8 through 12. It is the qualifying event for the Texas State German Contest and features 41 different categories (a few examples are skit, culture test, photography, folk dance, contemporary music, and poetry reading). It is held annually on the first Saturday of February (this year, February 1) at Lanier Middle School in Houston. We need speakers of German to help us judge our contests. Please let me know if you are available and willing to serve on February 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You can read more about us at www.houstonfest.org.
