What we're about

Do you have a body of work? Would you like to see your work made into a short? A piece of a web series? A feature? Do you need help finishing your screenplay? Or turning your book into a screenplay?

If so, we are looking for you! Use this meetup to join, post, share and network freely. Discover the potential your work may have: Your work stays protected, as you reach out to find your niche, where preparedness meets opportunity at the right place, at the right time!

Meet with local professional and aspiring screenwriters in your own teams, to review story structure, plot lines, character development, participate in table reads and advance your goals and craft. If all you need is help with screenplays, please join the team on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/HoustonScreenwriters/

If you're interested in acting, crewing, collaborating and producing: This meetup is for you to team up at monthly social events for pitching and networking to see where your talent fits. Bringing your energy and goals to the group, attracts others with the answers and resources to make things happen.

Enjoy the perks of sharing announcements, resources, and opportunities with community members of multiple talents and groups around town. For everything you bring to the group, you stand to gain -- ask and receive! If you don't see what you need, let's create and add it!

Contact me, or join here and suggest a meetup to get what YOU want from this group. All input, event planning, and team building are welcome. Use this meetup to serve what you need, and all else will follow.

Wonderland

Dr. Diane Jerome and Emily Nghiem are co-hosting a Writers and Reading group, inspired by the creative interaction between diverse creatures making up the Rainforest ecosystem. We invite you to come meet with us at the "Rainforest Writeup!" to share your ideas, talents and interests, whether you are writing for educational materials, or for entertainment produced as video or other media. We will meet 1-3 Sundays per month, from 3-5 pm, at the Wonderland Coffee Shop (1463 Wirt). If you cannot attend, please join Dr. Diane on Facebook, where she is forming a "Rainforest Reading" Group for teachers to edit, produce, and present colorful stories to support parents, students and teachers in developing more collaborative approaches in education and schools. [NOTE: this Writeup currently replaces the Meetup for Living Poets workshop, hosted by Tom Harter, Katy Huberman and other UU writers at the UFOH Fellowship on Wirt Road. Please contact Emily at[masked] if you are still interested in scheduling future poetry meetings, either at the Wirt Road fellowship or across the street at Wonderland. Thanks!]
