New Meetup: Dolly Sods Trail Sign Replacement and Party!

Announcing a new Meetup for The Baltimore Hiking Meetup Group!

What: Dolly Sods Trail Sign Replacement and Party!

When: Friday, August 20,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Laneville Cabin
Forest Service 19
Laneville, WV

We have just a few more trail signs to replace in Dolly Sods and a little more trail to clear on Roaring Plains, so we get Laneville Cabin for another weekend of hiking to some of the most beautiful views, Falls and swimming holes around! We have about 5 more trail signs to replace and the last bit of Roaring Plains Trail to get in shape and we are done for the year! We will be doing another feast on Saturday night (probably BBQ chicken and ribs this time) to enjoy all the great experiences of the day and the cabin once again! We can arrange carpooling as always but you must contact me at least 2 days before we leave as I must also coordinate food. The cabin has a full kitchen and bathroom with 12 bunk beds, but you will need to bring your sleeping bag or tent if you want to camp in the front yard. Red Creek beckons one last time so we can get our work in for the year! This is cross-posted from the Washington Backpackers Meetup Group. Directions are the same as the July 9 trip. Hiking will be moderate, but we can always go to more places if we finish early. My cell is[masked].
