Sumeet Singh, Director, Product Management, Hadoop, Cloud Engineering Group, Yahoo! Inc.
Bio
Sumeet Singh is a Director of Product Management for Hadoop Grid Services in the Cloud Engineering Group at Yahoo! where he is responsible for all aspects of Hadoop product management and marketing, customer engagements, and grid on-boarding. He has also led strategy functions for the 1000-person Cloud Platform Group at Yahoo! comprised of Cloud and Hadoop Grid, Knowledge and Personalization, Core Content, and Mobile and Presentation services that powers most of Yahoo!'s consumer and advertising businesses.

Sumeet has over 13 years of product management, product development, and sales and marketing strategy experience in high-tech and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Yahoo!, Sumeet managed client engagements for Deloitte Consulting bay area Strategy practice where he advised senior management of technology and telecommunications companies on a variety of strategic and operational issues for driving both near and long-term growth objectives. Before Deloitte, Sumeet was a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Dell Force10 Networks (formerly Turin Networks), and has also held engineering positions with Cisco Systems, Infosys Technologies, and Tata Automation.

Sumeet holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Strategy from the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, an M.S. in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a B.Eng. (Honors) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from National Institute of Technology, India.
