Thank you so much for joining our Outdoor Lighting Workshops Meetup Group! We look forward to seeing you at our second event on March 24th, also to be held at the Scottsdale Civic Center!

We hope to have a great and diverse group of Student Photographers for you to meet and converse with while you learn simple yet dramatic principles in photographic lighting. We are 54 members and growing.

Important Announcements!

Moving Forward:

Our March Event will be caping off at 16 Photographers and there are only seven spaces remaining. So if your schedule allows, be sure and RSVP for March to reserve your space. Also, if you have some photographer friends you think would also enjoy being a part of our Workshops, point them our way by sharing this Meetup opportunity with them!

Staying in the Loop:

Our Meetup Group is all about learning the Art of Photographic Lighting and to that purpose, we all learn from each other by sharing our comments and photos. A great way to keep the activity high is to also post setup and favorite photos from our Workshops on Facebook. 

Three Simple Steps: Facebook Sharing

Step 1. From our Meetup Page, click on the small Facebook Icon on the left column. This will take you to my Facebook Page, David Lloyd Photography.

Step 2. Like my Page and also send me a Friend Request at David Lloyd

Step 3. When you post a favorite image or setup image from our Workshop, simply Tag it with David Lloyd or David Lloyd Photography. This will grow our network and share the opportunity.

Workshop Payment Options: 

As our upcoming Workshops will be designed for 16 Photographers, prepayment is the second step in insuring and reserving your space. 
While you can pay at the Workshop with cash, check or Credit Card, On Line Prepayment through PayPal is the surest way to reserve your spot.

They will be posted on SmugMug and voted on by the Models and Third Party Judges. The Link will be posted in the very near future.
The Winners will be announced on our Meetup Group Lighting Workshops Site.
Important: To be eligible for the Prizes, you must submit an 11x14 or 16x20 mounted print of your winning image. This will be given to the Model in your image. Prizes to be awarded at the March Workshop. 

Note: All photographers submitting images for our Photo Contest will receive complementary Prizes from our New Sponsors. 

Upcoming Workshops:

As my schedule permits, I will be looking to create a Lighting Workshop every four to six weeks.

During the cooler months, the Workshops will be held outdoors. During the warmer months, the Workshops will be held indoors and will focus on the Art of Studio Lighting.

WWII Vintage Retro Lighting Workshop at Falcon Field - Gilbert AZ - May, 2012

Setting: WWII Retro Lighting and Style set against WWII Aircraft

Our Models will be wearing 40's Clothing and will be styled to fit the occasion.

This Workshop will cap at 8 photographers and will be very focused on creating a very stylized collection of Vintage WWII images for your Portfolio.
