Thank you, Jaffe!  Some of this is helpful for me, but I still have not found the syntax to express:  if tag = pagename.  Once I figure that out, I can use functions etc. to make the page do what I need it to do.
If you have any other suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate.  This was definitely helpful in a broader sense.
