Re: [engbulldog-3] Portrait paintings of your loved pet!!!

We've all been there. Pete died 4 years ago after a short bout with pneumonia. A clot in his heart killed him instantly. His death was quick and painless for him, but for me in was traumatic. It took months to recover from the shock and heartbreak. I wasn't prepared for his sudden death, even though I knew it was coming. I am thankful I did not have to make the decision to have him euthanized.

I was fortunate to meet a woman name Betty j. Carmack, who wrote a book entitled Grieving the Death of a Pet. She does one-on-one grieving counseling. It helped me tremendously.

Good luck to you. I love the art work your daughter did.

Warm regards,
Dan

Subject: [engbulldog-3] Portrait paintings of your loved pet!!!

I'm passing this on to everyone as our Bulldog Mobey who turned 10 last April 10, 2010 passed away June 26,2010 at home on his own in our arms. We did not have to put him down...he passed away from old age. He had really slowed down several days before and could barely walk and he went to his bed and we were next to him and we watched him take his last very peaceful breaths. This has been one of the most difficult things I've ever been through. We even did a witness cremation which I must say ....I would not have done it any other way. You are right there when they put him in and you are right there during the entire process and then you watch him come out, and watch the entire process of how they make ashes...it was very moving.
I'm sharing all this with you as I want to make it very clear how much our baby Mobey is loved. My daughter is a painter and I sent her a fave photo of Mobey and she painted it for me....now everyday I look at this painting and it's so precious I can't even begin to describe the comfort and joy it brings me.
His fave place was on the couch and that's what the photo is ...I will attach the photo and the painting so you can see. The first photo is of the painting and the 2nd is of his picture on the couch. By the way..the last Bulldog meetup we went to was in San Francisco (Crissy) was in April right after is 10th birthday. I have some photos of that too.
I wanted to pass this on to you so if any of you want a portrait done of your dog ...you can contact me and I'll pass it on to my daughter. She can ship anywhere in the United States too.
  Sincerely,
Kayla & George
