Swedish Lapland Cross-Country Hut to Hut Ski Trip
Laponia World Heritage Site, 67°20′N 17°35′E / 67.333°N 17.583°E, Jokkmokk, SEJoin Saveur the Journey for a hut-to-hut cross country ski expedition through the vast scenery of Sweden’s Laponia World Heritage Site. Swedish Lapland during the late spring is my favorite place for a hut-to-hut ski trek. Winding through the remote valleys and gentle slopes of Laponia World Heritage Site in early April one is treated to long days and often fine weather while the snow still lays in a thick blanket. There is enough darkness that you have an excellent chance of seeing Aurora Borealis, “pale gossamer curtains of light” as author Barry Lopez calls them in Arctic Dreams, but the extreme cold of winter has subsided. Comfortable wilderness cabins with a woodstove, pure and clean water drawn straight from a hole in the ice, and the delicious foods of Lapland; moose, reindeer, lingonberries, smoked fish, excellent cheeses and sausage, and strong coffee make for an amazing experience.
Discover the vast scenery of Laponia World Heritage Site with the great lakes and the high peaks in the horizon. We will use the hut system and travel by ski between the huts, carrying only light packs. Our food and overnight gear will be transported by snowmobile to the huts. In the vast wilderness of Laponia we can escape cell phone service, the hustle and bustle of our normal lives, and relax into the rhythms of nature. In the simplicity of our days, with snow stretching away from us in every direction, we can slow down, find time for reflection, and let ourselves be seduced by the unique beauty of the Arctic.

Norway Ski and Sail Trip-Tromsø to Alta
Lyngen North, Spåkenesveien 281, Rotsund, NOJoin Saveur the Journey for an Advanced level Ski touring and Sailing trip through the Fjords of Norway. For a week we will call the 100ft wooden Norwegian Sailboat “Helt” our home as we explore the Lyngen Alps and Finmark Alps with fully certified IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guides. This trip begins in Tromsø where we will board the Helt and begin working our way North over the next week towards our eventual destination of Alta. The beginning of May at this latitude (69° North) is an amazing time to be skiing and sailing, as the days are very long (19 hours) but it looks like the middle of winter, with plentiful snow. This allows for lots of flexibility in our daily plans to best take advantage of the weather conditions, stability, and group desires. Whales, including humpbacks and other species, are migrating to the area around this time as well, giving us a good chance to see them.

Las Leñas (Argentina) Ski/Snowboard Trip
Las Leñas, Valle de las Leñas, M5500 Malargüe, Mendoza, Argentina, ARJoin Saveur the Journey for a Strong Intermediate/Advanced level Southern Hemisphere Skiing and Boarding trip to the Mendoza Province of Argentina in August 2026. Escape the hot summer stateside and travel across the equator to chase an endless winter with this small-group South American ski trip to the high-altitude resort of Las Leñas in the Andes. With a base at 7,350 ft (2240m) and the lifts topping out at 11,250ft (3430m), Las Leñas provides almost 4ooo ft of vertical and is a massive resort, with more total skiable terrain than Whistler, Canada. Las Leñas has a good mix of difficulty levels, from great intermediate runs with superb views, all the way to extreme steeps, bowls, and couloirs. Due to its high altitude, the quality of the powder up high is considered some of the best in South America. The resort is geographically remote (about four-and-half hours drive from Mendoza city) so it takes some work to get there, but the payoff is a stunning location with potentially limited competition for the more advanced powder lines.
A local Argentinian guide and ski instructor will get you to the front of the lift lines and show you the best powder stashes and where to experience superb Argentinian wines, pampas beef, chocolate, and culture. Possibility for resort skiing at Las Leñas, lift-serviced sidecountry, and full backcountry touring all with professional guides. Optional Cat Skiing as well!
