FYI Vics at City market has great pizza and is very reasonably priced.  (Zydeco is also in City Market, you can easily park and walk to both).

PS Adrien Duke is wonderful!

Hey Todd; I will be at his occasio. I had one question to ask, I was in St .Louis a month or so ago, my old lady lives there I met a blues player at a renown club. I told him that Raleigh was jumping and if I could hook him up with folks he could come here and play. I aint a promoter or nothing like that, even though when I retire in a rew years I might puruse that as a 2nd career. But just for the folks in Raleigh/durham tio get a taste of some of that blues. Do you know how that could happen? Agian there ain't nothing in it for me, just trying to spread the wealth of the music we love. thanks and I'll see u on the 7th.

Meetup Description: ***Adrian Duke at Zydeco Downtown***

Join me at the Zydeco Downtown to see one of the Triangle areas great Blues performers. He will start his performance at 8pm. Will check to see if there is a cover charge and when it begins. If we get there before the cover starts, then it will be free. I will update the event details again soon with that info. Below is some info on Adrian Duke:

Biography
Drenched with the sounds of New Orleans, Adrian Duke's piano is overshadowed only by the raw emotional power of his voice. Although he has found a home as a Blues artist, by blurring the lines between Blues, Funk, R&B, and Jazz, he has found critical acclaim, audience acceptance, and artistic peer recognition.

From the release of his first recording, "Never Find Another", five years ago, Duke consistently and effortlessly demonstrates the exceptional musicianship and compositional brilliance that has become his musical signature. With the release of his new CD, "ADRIATICA" in 2007, these gifts that have helped cultivate a tremendously loyal following in and beyond the Blues music communities.

Though best know on the east coast for his performance for Queen Elizabeth II, on her recent visit to the US, Adrian Duke has been performing on the east coast and beyond, in support of his most recent release, "ADRIATICA".

Some larger shows this past year include venues such as the Bele Chere Festival (Main Stage) Asheville, NC; Innsbrook, Glen Allen VA; the Charleston Jazz Festival, Charleston SC.; and Dogwood Dell Amphitheatre, Richmond VA. And warming up for such diverse artists as Little Feat, Neville Brothers, Little River Band, Delbert McClinton, Hall & Oates, Garth Brooks, Kansas, and his earliest musical influence, Dr. John.

Adrian is currently performing and writing & recording music for his fifth CD. Expect it to be released in 2009.
