Are you looking for a melting pot of many new activities and fun in the Raleigh & Triangle area, and a great group of new friends to do them with? This group was started to welcome new arrivals in town, and it has grown from there.
If you'd like to become an event organizer (plan and run events), please let me know. Are you new in town, new to getting out, or just looking for fun new activities? We have several event organizers posting diverse kinds of activities for everyone's taste and enjoyment.
Find fun things to do, cool places to go, and a bunch of new friends to hang out with along the way. This group is purely a social group with a good heart, and good friends. Singles, couples, youthful or seasoned, you are all welcome here.

Do you enjoy spiritual growth? Are you having amazing experiences that you can’t talk about with most people? Join the club! At the Mystic Picnic we create a safe fun outdoor space for meeting kindred spirits and talking about the non-mainstream topics that are becoming more mainstream every day. With a nod to the positive future of our dear planet Earth, we’ll share stories and support for things like energy healing, psychic gifts, angels and nature spirits, ET helpers, reincarnation, lucid dreams, and so much more! As a long-time experiencer myself, I’ll be hosting a main circle for friendly discussions, and folks are welcome to split-off anytime for their own side chats and activities. There will be potluck food and a nice grassy field for games or activities you might want to share.
Bring your own chair or blanket, plus any food or drink you want to share potluck style. I’ll supply cups, plates, napkins and utensils, plus a few extra chairs and more snacks. I’ll be there from 11am to 2pm rain or shine, so feel free to stop by when you can. We’ll meet at Lake Crabtree park which is convenient off of Route 40 between Durham and Raleigh, NC. Enter the park from Aviation Parkway, proceed to the first parking lot on the right. If the lot is full, you can drive to the next lot and walk back along the lake, or wait a bit as people come and go frequently. You’ll see me with some chairs in the grassy area near the lot. Note this is the same spot where the Raleigh Starseeds picnics used to meet, which we all miss so I’m getting that tradition going again!

Eva Murray is a master teacher who instructs with spirit, humor and skill. Dancing starts immediately with simple, easy to understand moves.
No partner or previous experienced required. Couples, Singles and children (9 or older with participating adult) all welcome.

No partner required, beautiful floor, lesson included, friendly dancers. Typical attendance is 1-2 MeetUp people and 45-60 general public. Plenty of people to meet and dance with!
Stardusters is a local non-profit that hosts ballroom dances every second Saturday. Join us!

- The CDC says the best way to minimize the chance of covid infection is to have circulating fresh air. We will open windows and run fans to get as close to this ideal as we can.
- Admission is $15, cash or check.
- As always, we provide a printed playlist of all songs together with the recommended dance.
- General dancing after the lesson will include all ballroom dances plus selections of Salsa, Bachata, Country 2 Step, Night Club 2 Step and West Coast Swing
- Water and a small selection of snacks will be provided.
