RE: [WPUkulele] Sat. Sept. meet-up

Just joined meet-up!

So sorry to not have met Stephen, BIG TIKI

Been surfing the meet up page  & reading emails.

Looking forward to participating in meet-ups.  My schedule needs adjusting, of which, I am working on.

Still full time working at 65.

I bought a Fender Tenor in June.  (Always wanted a Fender of some kind) Been working on chording for “back in the day” I played an Epiphone Acoustic & toyed with a 12string.

In the 60’s I bought a Treholipee.  (like one in video below) Still have & in good shape…don’t dare  tune, afraid strings will pop. ; )

Well all I just wanted to introduce myself, but want to express I know I will miss a Stephen’s expertise in the Group, while understanding reasons.

Good Luck Stephen!

Will be in touch Ukers Michela

Stephen,

Thanks for all your work getting this group up to par with many other ukulele meet-ups around the nation.  It is not easy to herd cats or uke players!  Gathering material, wrangling the tech, organizing the logistics, TEACHING in such a kind, knowledgeable manner, and arranging guest artists takes a lot of time and expertise and you've gone beyond the call of meet-up manager.

Happy Trails to you.

Toni

Hi Everyone. I hope everyone is going to see Jake Friday night at the Plaza and in December The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain in Gainesville. 2 events not to be missed.

Announcement!!! This Sat. will be my last meet-up as organizer of this group. I'm busy at my old job for Oct. and Nov and won't be able to attend and after that the wife and I have decided we're going to travel for awhile.. I encourage someone else to step up and take over my role. I'll supply the new leader with all the contacts at the Winter Park Library and any other info I can provide.

Keep on Ukein.   Stephen Boros
