All I can say is WOW. If you are offended, good luck on that. These people just want the respect of a cancellation and I feel they deserve that.

It seems to me that a more reasonable, adult, and equitable way to solve the problem would be to reserve fewer tables, yes?
I have organized groups at the Dragon's Lair and found them incredibly helpful, kind, and accommodating. Maybe it is your group that is not a good fit?
I am sorry I was not able to make it last week, as I was advocating the now defunct Occupy Austin Movement, and that took precedence. If you remember the police ran all those kids out from the steps on Caesar Chavez? That took precedence.
I am sorry that I was called away by such blatant disregard for civil process and liberty, but I am not sorry to have been called away, because I feel that I would not enjoy playing with you. Thank you for supporting great games by starting your group, and I'm sorry you've had trouble getting yourself organized, but I will not be joining you in the future. Good luck finding a more appropriate place to meet your needs. I have heard about Great Hall game's very friendly and accommodating staff. On Monday's they have a very large board game open play, and they're always Catan available. You should speak to them.

Dragon's Lair has stated that fining those who sign up for a meetup and do not show is against their store policies. In my thinking, we have reached an untenable situation. It is impossible to manage the meetup when we continue to have a large percentage of no-shows and there is apparently nothing I can do to correct the problem. Therefore, I will cease being the organizer for Catan events held at Dragon's Lair and will not attend future meetups held there. I am pursuing alternate venues for additional meetups. Unless otherwise notified, the group will continue to meet every first Tuesday and third Saturday at Dragon's Lair and Tracey will host. I am sorry we have reached this impasse. Harold
