Hi everyone we are now officially preparing for the upcoming[masked] competitive adult season. As most of you know we run several competitive (CLUB-A) mens and women's teams. Last season, CNJVBC supported 7 teams and over 80 players. Our womens B team, Fuego won GEVA regionals and our mens B team, Goodfellas were regional finalists. We had four teams attend USA Volleyball Nationals tournament in Phoenix, AZ. It was a fun and exciting season... but this year will be even BETTER!

Many of you have asked me to either participate in our CLUB-A events and/or improve the overall competitiveness of our CLUB events. So with this in mind, I'm very excited to introduce our new Saturday competitive instructional mini-league program. Anyone that is interested in playing competitive Men's or Women's volleyball is strongly encouraged to RSVP and tryout on Saturday September 13th.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• You must have competitive volleyball experience
• You must be familiar with defensive positioning, blocking, 4-2, 5-1 and 6-2 offensive systems.
• You must be familiar with all volleyball rules all lifts and illegal contacts will be called
• We will ONLY be accepting 18 to 21 players for men's league and 18 to 21 players for women's league.
• We are looking for open-minded players that are seeking to improve. They should have the right attitude, be team players and must be comfortable being coached and receiving feedback. This is a commitment, we expect everyone to attend all 4 weeks.

• You do NOT have to attend the tryout to play in the league, just RSVP 'NO' and add a comment to the meetup stating that you are interested

• I will make the teams, if you are interested in playing with others, please make note of it - i will try to support all requests but competitive balance will be my first priority
• We are filling teams by position

• The dates (subject to change) are: Sa 9/13, Sa 9/20, Sa 9/27, 10/4, 10/11 (Playoffs)

• If you make a team, the 4 week league fee is $50 (this includes)
• 4 one-hour drills / skills-reinforcement sessions
• 3 weeks of regular season matches (4 sets)
• 1 week of playoffs (2nd vs 3rd and winner plays 1st)
