RE: [New-York-MongoDB-User-Group] MongoDB on mobile platforms

I've been working on using Mongo as a way of syncing OS X/iOS Core Data
stores so that it doesn't require mongo running on the mobile platform
itself. I had been toying with the idea of implementing a core data
store backend w/ mongo, but decided that using mongo to sync an existing
store was better for data mobility. I've not done any android work,
however. Does is require that you create your own data store backend
for each app, or is there a common API?

Its interesting to note that there is a now a mobile version of CouchDB
that runs on Android (https://www.couch....) that features sync.
Sure would be nice to see Mongo running on a mobile platform...
