Announcing a new Meetup for Seattle/Eastside Swing, Ballroom & Blues Dance!

What: Int/Adv Fusion Waltz Workshop! (Cross-Step Variations)

When: Thursday, December 2,[masked]:00 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Ari Levitt and Whitney Evans teach
New inventions in the world of fusion waltz!
Three Options for December Classes! (See details below)

WHAT IS "FUSION WALTZ"?
Fusion waltz is a beautiful new waltz form that borrows moves from other dance styles and blends them into the graceful, flowing waltz patterns that we know and love today. These particular December workshops will focus on a number of 'cross-step' waltz variations and will introduce such moves as the "double dutch", the "dutch crepe", the "traveling check turn", the "ladies maypole", and the "prom-si-do".

WHY TAKE A PERFORMANCE CLASS?
Learning choreography is a phenomenal way to master dance moves and transitions, and performing is a great incentive to not only learn those moves, but to develop styling and flare and to get a chance to shine! Those who would like to perform an original fusion waltz choreography at the Dec 31st New Years Eve Ball at the Women's University Club are invited to sign up for Option 1, the full meal deal! (see details below)
If you would like to simply learn some of these really fun, danceable waltz combinations but not perform them, then you are more than welcome to join us by signing up for either Option 2 (the four week series which includes the one-day workshop), or Option 3 (the one day workshop). Details are below.

DANCE LEVEL:
Both the workshops and the choreography class will be geared toward intermediate level waltz dancers and will assume comfort with basic cross-step waltz steps and partnering. while no partner is necesary to register, we will do our best to keep leads and follows evenly balanced.

If you are interested in participating in the choreography class, please let us know ASAP on the registration page. You may sign up as an individual (no partner required). Right now we would just like to know who is interested and who is available so that we can best match leads and follows and skill levels. We'll plan to announce the final line-up for the choreography class at the first Thur workshop on Dec 2nd. For the performance, NYE Ball tickets must be purchased seperately from Dance for Joy (www.danceforjoy.com). **SPECIAL BONUS FOR PERFORMERS: By participating in the performance, you will get a $50 discount on your ball ticket!
