To create an easy way for Internationals to meet one another. I've been in Hilversum for two years and really love it. There seem to be quite a lot of internationals/expats around, but no forum to meet one another. So its time to meet some new people and expand our professional and social network. We meet the first Monday of every month near central Hilversum, from 19.30 to 22.00. Venue is Cafe Le Journal (Groest 21). We'll try to ensure that you will feel welcome and are introduced to as many p …

What are Eye Gazing Parties? The eyes are the windows to the soul, so it's a lot easier to have a mesmerizing conversation with someone after you've spent two minutes looking into his or her eyes. That is the simple idea behind Eye Gazing Parties. Banal chit-chat about employment status, the location of your apartment, or where you're from is not a great way to spark a captivating connection with an alluring new person. Eye contact is. Here's how it works: An even number of singles gets toget …
This group is for developers who want to look into the possibilities of creating web and mobile applications with the tools available to us at the moment. We will have a look at the past and a look into the future to see how we can extend our reach onto the new and unexplored.
This a regular social running group that meets in Vondelpark on average twice a week and in other locations around Amsterdam as the mood fits. We welcome beginners and experienced runners, the only criteria is that you be comfortable jogging a few kilometers. We don't emphasis speed, instead it's a social way to keep fit and to meet new people. It's not just about the running! :)
The purpose of the Agile Amsterdam meetup group is to provide a place where the Agile community in Amsterdam can learn more about Agile and socialize with fellow enthusiasts! For now we aim to have bi-monthly events in which there will be room for a speaker followed by a discussion and drinks. However, every meetup we will learn how to have a better meetup next time and change things around a bit :-)
Are you a fan of open Jam Sessions either as a musician or as audience? Or maybe you don't play any instrument but you like to sing with other people your favourites songs in a relaxed environment? Do you think good food and good music should always come together? Well, then you are a CouchJammer! I started this meetup group to promote and share events where the positive feelings that only live music and homemade food can give melt and get deep to the root in a stageless environment like a livin …

Each Friday morning at 10:30 am is the ever-popular "story time" at the bookshop. We sing songs, (such as "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star") read books and draw pictures together. Story Reading lasts for about 30 minutes after which the children have some time to play and the parents enjoy a cup of freshly ground coffee, cappuccino or café Latte. Story Reading is suitable for children older than 12 months but younger than 3 years.
Hi and Welcome, The Guild is a club for everyone interested in Roleplaying Games. A Roleplaying game has no winners, the main purpose of the game is to have fun playing it. That makes Roleplaying games fundamentally different from board games, card games, sports and most other types of games. The Guild is for Tabletop RPG's, not for any other kind of Roleplaying, including Larp. New members are always welcome and there is always a game for new or inexperienced players. We play in English, but D …

We plan to have 1 or 2 short presentations every meetup, which will range from introductions to Node, to the philosophy of/behind Node, and actual companies/startups that use Node.js. Feel free to come, whether you're a Node.js veteran with decades of javascript experience or just have an interest to see what happens in Node.js land. And yes, beers will be available.
