No, you didn't move the group to Alaska but the group is a central Jersey meetup and Clifton is a good 40 minutes to an hour away for some of us. I understand that if we want to organize movies down here we can but the name should reflect that, the description of the group should be changed and Laura's original email should have been worded differently. There are no movie groups down here. I am a transplant from up there in north Jersey (Verona) and I know that there are several up there. So for us renaming the group and changing the location is not exactly on target with why we all joined in the first place. You may loose members due to this.

With no meetups scheduled in the last four months and nobody stepping up to be organizer, we are doing what we feel will get the most interest in the group.  The hardest thing is getting a turnout.  It's no longer a private group, and if there's sufficient demand from the members for a meetup in Brunswick, they can absolutely be organized.  This was something I hoped to convey before the shotgun complaints started.  We didn't move the group to Alaska.

I think it's pretty low to Hi-Jack an existing group, rename it and relocate it.  You totally ignored what defined this group and had no consideration for the rest of the members.

  This is nowhere near the geographical locations that this group was originally intended for.  You are off to a bad start as an organizer. You couldn't create your own group and attract your own members?   Not just my opinion, its a fact.  What next, you gonna start charging a fee?
