What we're about

Life is too short not to meet NEW people, do something DIFFERENT and have FUN . This group will expose you to so many things you may never even knew existed. The best part is that this group holds interesting things for singles, couples, all age ranges, first timers, or the experienced who seeks to do it again.

Don't worry about coming out alone, that's what most people do... We'll make sure that you have an opportunity to socialize and hopefully go home meeting tons of people and even make a few friends.

Some events include: Snowboarding & Skiing, Rafting, Sky Diving, Wine Tasting, Paint Ball, Dance Classes, Horse Back Riding, Gun Shooting, Archery, Fishing, Hiking, Skating, Rock Climbing, BINGO, Fruit Picking, Cooking Classes, Fly Helicopters, Fencing, Snowboarding, Bowling, Trapeze School, Happy Hour and anything else you can think of, including Quiet Clubbing.

What is a Silent Disco or Quiet Clubbing? Each person receives a pair of wireless headphones. This allows you to adjust the volume and choose between up to three DJs by flicking a switch.

Do you like listening to: Top40, Trance, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Latin, Salsa, merengue, Bachata, Rap, Electronic, Line Dancing, 80's, 90's, and everything else? Then Quiet Clubbing is for you...

Don't worry about coming out alone, that's what most people do... Quiet Clubbing is very SOCIAL! You need to experience it to understand!

NYAC: The NY Adventure Club Absinthe Tasting Workshop (Pre-Pay)

Tickets: $42 - 45 Click the link below to register for this event: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-ny-adventure-club-absinthe-tasting-workshop-registration-54920327177 For nearly a century, absinthe was an illegal substance in America and most of the world, blamed for everything from hallucinations and delirium to even violent rampages. Uncover how a French psychiatrist, ill-timed global temperance movement, and good ol' fashioned fake news caused this widely popular spirit to be banned until the 21st century. Join New York Adventure Club (https://www.nyadventureclub.com/) as we taste and learn our way through the (now legal) spirit of absinthe, all inside a 1921 townhouse in Midtown that is now home to the Church of Sweden. Led by Don Spiro, co-founder of the Green Fairy Society (https://www.facebook.com/groups/greenfairysociety/about/) and one of the creators of New York's vintage scene, our unique experience at this intimate space in Manhattan will include: • An overview of absinthe, from its creation by a French doctor living in Switzerland, to why it was banned in so many countries under false pretenses • A primer on how absinthe is made and traditionally served (hint: no burning sugar cubes!) • A tasting of several different absinthe varietals from around the world • A complimentary absinthe cocktail to sip on while mingling with other adventurers Click here to see pictures from one of our last absinthe tastings! (https://nyadventureclub.com/gallery/29341721) See you there! * While snacks will be provided, we recommend eating beforehand About Don If you've been to a Jazz Age party or a swinging vintage get-together in New York over the past decade, you can thank Don Spiro for helping to start the movement. Don moved to New York in 2005 after working in Hollywood for over 15 years — when he noticed the hot live jazz scene from the west coast was missing in the Big Apple, he began organizing his own vintage parties, quickly becoming the city's premier event organizer for everything Jazz Age. More recently, Don co-founded the Green Fairy Society, an organization dedicated to absinthe’s history, production, and use — swing by one of his monthly absinthe events to learn about this rare spirit from the industry's movers and shakers. * Must be 21 or older. ID will be checked at door. ** Ticket price is for educational demonstration with complimentary beverage tastings. Categories: Historic Sites, Social

We have chosen The Playwright Irish Pub on 35th because they offer a delicious and diverse menu (MENU LINK) as well as a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Here is how it works: Arrive at The Playwright between 6:30-7pm for cocktails and socializing at the bar. At 7pm the group will be randomly seated at a table (or tables depending on the size of the group) to continue conversations and to order food. It will be about 15-20 minute before all the orders come out so you have a nice chance to chat with those around you. Just before the food comes out you will pull a number out of a hat and everyone will switch seats so that you are surrounded by all new people! At the end of the meal everyone gets separate checks so you pay only for what you ordered. Can I come alone? Yes, most f the people will come alone but you are welcome to invite a friend or two. Dress code: business casual Age restrictions: This event is for people 50+ years old. If you are 49 and feel more comfortable socializing with the older group no worries but we ask that no one under 49 register. Can I come for just drinks and not the dinner?
