I'm down with a HH and I'd be willing to kick some $$ towards the fee.

Should we have a happy hour night sometime in the near future to collect the contributions for this & meet & greet?

Hi All,
The Washington DC/MD/VA Mountain Bike Meetup Group is up for renewal with Meetup and I would prefer not to renew it myself and continue as the organizer. Mostly because work for me has been much busier than I had expected for months, but with that in mind I don't think it makes sense for me to cover the full $75 myself again.
Because I have been so busy I just have not had time to setup events, especially the beginner events that I know many folks in this group would like to have. But folks have been using it to set up their own events and I think it has value for that alone.
So, what do folks want to do? Do you see value in continuing the group (it has 929 members)?
It's possible to turn on donations, if just a fraction of the members donates $1 we would cover the $75 easily. I believe this is what the old organizer did. I can set that up if people would like.
