Hmmm, I'm assuming they'll get some parts in bulk from across the pond for local assembly and test...at least in the beginning.

That said, it really is a cheap sandbox/mad science lab so I'm in as well.  Yeah, you get what you pay for, but I won't be putting it into production anyway.

No offense taken. Your supposition is entirely possible, although in my opinion not very probable. Worst comes to worst and they can't get the funding, since it's one of those "all or nothing" deals, I get my money back. If they do get the funding, then I get a pretty decent tablet for a pretty decent price. Either way, 'tis all good.
