I do see it happening as you describe on Chrome.
The jump at the bottom happens when the "bottom" CSS value changes from a defined scroll position to "auto". you might want to re-visit those rules

Have not looked at the Source view, but one observation….

a)      I do *not* see it on my primary machine

b)      I was able to duplicate it on some of my test machines to varying degrees.

All machines running the same IE [11] and OS….the difference is solely in how they are loaded (installed memory, other things running, simulated network speeds).

In general, the weaker the machine the more common. A machine with wildly varying network actually seemed the worst, which was strange considering I would expect this to be 100% client side while scrolling and no server interaction.

Small Sample Size so YMMV

Subject: [newtech-1] Need help from the list with a jquery/javascript issue

Hi everyone,

For you developers out there, I need some help with an issue I'm having on one of my client sites, http://posanarestaurant.com.

On all Menu pages (Dinner, Brunch, etc.) , there is a left hand navigation menu that floats with the page scroll. The Nav menu will jump up and start OVER the featured image and when scrolling, a few links will lay under the black footer, before it jumps back up into position.

My developer is looking at it and can't replicate the issue on his laptop. He's a fully qualified WordPress developer working at a high level with an agency in NYC, so he's no dummy. He just can't replicate the problem. However, the client, myself, and others are seeing it.

We used a freely available script for this and modified it a little, but this should actually happen.

Can anyone tell me if they A. can replicate or B. cannot replicate the bug? Tell me what browser you tested with and what your connection speed to the Internet is (cable modem, DSL, etc.)

If you have a solution to this issue, let me know if you can help. Thanks.
