Cinema meets Literature: Films about books, books about films.
Details
Art manifests itself through very different elements.
It is a very common thing for films to be based on books, some few times, for the opposite to occur. Most of us see the original work as always being the one deserving the praise, but is it really true that: "the book is always better than the film"?
Being different mediums, do you think it is artistically fair to expect the film to narrate the same story as the book, or is it that the storytelling should fit the medium in order for the artist to deliver the intended message?
As usual, bring us a book that you feel it had a great screen adaptation or a book that you enjoyed but where the film adaptation was particularly bad and let's all discuss it together and learn a something new through our different perspectives about the theme.
See you soon,
