Hello, LVDevs,
I and others are organizing the first ever GiveCamp here in Las Vegas. Details below; we hope you can volunteer for the fun!
Steve Wainstead
Your community needs your skills!
The first Vegas GiveCamp will take place June 28-30 at Work In Progress, 317 6th Street in downtown Las Vegas. GiveCamps are weekend-long marathons where IT professionals donate their time and expertise to local charities.
As a volunteer at GiveCamp you will work on a small team, building much-needed technical solutions for nonprofits in the Vegas valley.
Vegas GiveCamp needs:
software developers
database administrators
graphic designers
web designers
project managers
SEO specialists
social media experts
content writers
business analysts
We will pair you with other professionals to complement your skills. If you would like to form a team and volunteer, by all means! We encourage this as well. Get your coworkers to join you and apply your teamwork to a new and different project!
Much-needed technical solutions that GiveCamps in other cities have created for nonprofits span the list: web sites, donor databases, phone apps, and more!
Bring your tent and camp out for the weekend. Meet new friends and hone your skills. Make a difference!
There will be prizes for the best projects as decided by a special panel of judges. Meals will be provided throughout the weekend and gaming will be available for breaks.
Starts: Friday June 28th, 5pm
Ends: Sunday June 30th, 7pm
Location: 317 6th Street, Las Vegas
Registration is free!
