Free food and drink at Developer Sessions next week - thanks to Atlassian

Hi all,

Just to let you know our good friends at Atlassian have just agreed to sponsor the next four Developer Sessions events, which means free food and drink!!!

We are hoping to have some Atlassian partners along for some of the events, including ClearVision and Adaptavist, so if you have any questions for the guys then come on down. Other than that it will be just like any other developer sessions event. So if you're working in London, using Java or the JVM then come on down and meet some of the other LJC members. It's a great event if you're new to town, or work in a smaller team... or just want to rant about all the recruiters that keep calling you to offer you junior JavaScript jobs. We will be on site so if you fancy getting some free CV advice you are welcome to come by, we usually have Ged and some of the LJC book club along, at least one OSS project looking for committers, a bunch of students looking for advice on what to do with their careers so no matter what you're in for come along and have a drink and bite to eat on Atlassian.

Our first sponsored event is happening next Tuesday at the Slug and Lettuce you can sign up here: http://www.meetup.com/Londonjavacommunity/events/106690932/

For those that don't know who Atlassian are, they are the creators of JIRA, Confluence & Greenhopper. They make tools for developers, by developers. They have long been involved in the LJC, sponsoring events and giving away free swag like the 'Angry nerds' T-shirt. The guys there are great too, it's worth checking out their values video to get a better idea how they view things: http://www.atlassian.com/company/about/values

See you guys next Tuesday!

Kind regards,
Barry
