Very Important to me ....

Well, happy Friday the 13th everyone :) I'm writing this email, because I was contacted by a great member of our group who was hoping, the OCEAN COUNTY BULLY GROUP and its members could help with a certain situation. An amazing man named Joe, has been taking on a sticky situation all by himself that really needs the communities help. Here at the OCBG, we are all about helping animals and in this case, the animals really need our help.

I do not know if any of you are familiar with a place called Tent City. Tent city is a rather upsetting place, but in all honesty, somewhere I would find myself if I lost my home. Tent City is a place in Lakewood, made up of about 100 families who have lost their homes due to Sandy and economic fall outs :( These people, like myself, refused to give their animals to shelters as they all surely would face euthanasia if they did not find homes quickly. All of us understand that our animals are apart of our families, and would do anything we could to keep our families together, all with two feet or four.

These people live in tents. (Hence the name "Tent City".) And really do not ask for much, other than help for their animals.... I am going to be taking them blankets, toys, treats, etc to them hopefully soon, and was writing this email to see how many of you members, would VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME ONE SUNDAY, TO HELP ME DISTRIBUTE AND BATHE THE DOGS. ????? There are about 14-16 dogs ranging from BIG dogs to LITTLE dogs like chihuahuas and TONS of cats.

Joe, has a church that is right down the street, and I wanted to take some time to bath the dogs, We could put them in the back of Joe's pick up truck and load them over to the church. These dogs DO NOT get baths, as these poor people do not have running water. They have fleas and because they are living in dirt, their fur and skin is very irritated and itchy :( It is not the pups/cats fault that they have to live in these conditions and all of these people wish they didn't have to either. NO ONE WOULD. I cannot contact Animal Control though, because they would take the dogs from these people and NONE OF US, if we were down on our luck, would want anyone taking our fur family members away either.

**I AM GOING TO CONTACT PEOPLE REGARDING SHOTS FOR THESE PUPS, AND SEE IF ANYONE HAS FLEA SHAMPOO, OR FLEA COLLARS/FLEA MEDICATION.**

WOULD ANY OF YOU DONATE TIME, POSSIBLY SUNDAY THE 22ND, TO HELP UNLOAD MY CAR AND BATHE SOME DOGS??? PLEASE EMAIL AND LET ME KNOW.

THANK YOU EVERYONE.
