Looks like we're on for Sat. Oct. 29 at 11:00 here at my house. I
look forward to it. No, I haven't read that book, but I see that
it's an O'Reilly book and they are usually good books. I take it
that you recommend it. I may order it from Amazon.

Hi Donald! I'd love to meet
up some time. Plain JavaScript sounds good to me. Have you
read "JavaScript The Good Parts"?
I know jQuery well. Node.js is great if you're into
real-time web programming.
Here's my number:[masked].
Thanks!

Hi Mark,
I live in San Mateo, too, right across from Serra
High School. I'm an old retired guy who does web
development stuff primarily as a hobby. I have
written a lot of Javascript, mostly for visual
effects, such as the "spotlight" effect at http://norcaltos.org,
and my current test page at http://ravey.net/stage/stage20.html,
which I'm using to learn jQuery. I haven't gotten
interested in node.js and haven't even heard of
backbone.js. So I may not have quite the right
interests or experience for pairing up with you,
but since we live so close, I thought I'd just
make myself known and if you should want to go
further with respect to plain Javascript, you can
contact me.
Cheers,

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a pair in order to gain
greater expertise in Backbone.js, Node.js,
and JavaScript in general. I'm fairly
comfortable w/ JavaScript, but trying to
take it to the next level. I have several
books I'm looking to go through (Secrets
of the JavaScript Ninja, JavaScript Design
Patterns), and would love to pair with
people for mutual learning.
I live in San Mateo, but willing to
travel.
If anyone is interested, please contact
