SAAF January News

Hello Everyone,

Just a few quick notes to share.

First, Meetup has reminded me that our website fee ($90) is due and we just renewed our insurance ($105). I've paid for both, but if you're able to chip in, it's always appreciated.

Second, we've got some great events down the line including one on Wednesday evening. Professor Matt McCormick (CSU Sacramento) will be talking about artificial intelligence, consciousness, and the singularity. Join us in Manteca. Details here.

Here's that and a few other events:

And third, we've got two events on our calendar at Lodi's World of Wonders Science Museum:

  • Jan 28 (Sat) - Geekology at the WOW is a mix of comics, pinball, gaming, VR, hackerspace, art, 3D printing, and more.
  • Feb 1 (Wed) - Science Night Live's February speaker is Lauren Camp from UC Davis, who will talk about nematodes (roundworms).

I hope you can join us at these and other events. And if you ever want to host your own, just use the "Suggest a Meetup" button on our meetup website.

See you soon,

-David
