Armaiti, since I saw PK before, I'm not going to go. ?I'm sure many great people will be there though. ?I will plan to forward this info to Christine Blosdale of KPFK as well. Thank you. ?And yes, it appears as you had sent it before.

Greetings UAALA members!

In honor of Gandhi's birthday and in commemoration of World Farm Animals Day, we will be hosting a FREE screening of "Peaceable Kingdom." Next Sunday, October 4th, at 2 pm, you will have the opportunity, should you choose to avail yourself of it, to watch this very powerful and touching documentary about the treatment of farmed animals produced by Tribe of Heart (http://tribeofheart.org/). Although there are a few parts which are graphic, it is not as intensely graphic as "Earthlings." Most of it is not that hard to watch and has moving personal stories from people on the front lines who have rescued these animals as well as people who used to exploit them and have now become their advocates. The way the stories are woven together along with the footage makes for a compelling case for reconsidering one's view of "food animals" as so many people in our society refer to and think of them. Please bring your meat-eating friends, parents, kids, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters so that a seed of compassion may be planted in their hearts. Whoever will come is welcome to attend! The running time of the film is 77 minutes. Afterward, we will have a short Q & A / Discussion period. There will be literature available for attendees to take home.

Location: UCLA, Kerckhoff Hall State Room
For a map, log onto: http://www.ucla.edu/map/
Rate of $10 applies for parking on campus. Please allow ample time for parking and finding the building in order to arrive on time.

*Co-sponsored by Bruins for Animals (bruinsforanimals.org) and United Animal Advocates of LA*

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way in which its animals are treated."

Hope to see you there,
Armaiti
