Product Owner meetup - Launch edition!

Hey @all,

we like to invite you to our monthly meetup at the trivago tower in Düsseldorf. In September.

We will hold a series of lightning talks and use the opportunity to socialise and have a few drinks between product owners.

Presenters

Alexandru Bleau, senior product owner at trivago, will present the new pitching system intrloduced a few months ago for all the product teamsworking on our core platform. Beyond scrum, kanban or waterfall, a new way to work on projects and be agile at the company level.

Peter Kelly, Agile coach at trivago, will present the key skills a product owner should have and discuss with the audience: the Visionary, the Manager, the Motivator, which one are the most important, and which mix is the best for a Product Owner?

Hendrik Kleinwaechter, from Tripl - and recently trivago - will talk about his experience and lessons learned building a company working with AI. His company built an engine for customised travel recommendations.

Sebastian Titze, from the REWE group, will present a talk about "Leading from the future as it emerges". He will dive into Theory U, as developed by Otto C.Scharmer from MIT. He and his team asked themselves, why we collaboratively generate results, which nobody wants. And what this means for us, for our economy and for our communities.

Format

Four (4) short Presentations each followed by ~15 minutes of audience Q&A for each topic for a total of ~two (2) hours.
