Hike, Rockhouse Hill Preserve, Oxford

(B3B/C) Meet at 11:45 a.m. to hike at 12:00 p.m. from Oxford High School, 61 Quakers Farm Rd. (Rt. 188) for this moderate-paced 7 mile hike through the Rockhouse Hill Sanctuary, featuring bucolic streams, shady hemlock groves, and a stream with several sets of cascades. Friendly dogs on leash welcome. Directions: Rt. 8 North to Exit 15. Left on Rt. 34 West for 5 miles. Right on Rt. 188 North for 1.2 miles. At the traffic circle, left on Rt. 188 North for 0.5 miles. Left into the school. Right in the parking area by the baseball field. From Rt. 8 South, take Exit 19. Left on Derby Ave. Next right on Rt. 334 West for 3 miles. Straight on Rt. 188 North for 0.5 miles. Left into the school. Right in the parking area by the baseball field.
