Worum es bei uns geht
We want to bring people together, who are interested in games, play at work, new ways of working, agile and game design. The Agile Game Lab events are an open space for everyone interested in learning agile practices by co-creating or just playing agile games and simulations. We meet regularly to design, make, adapt and hack Agile games.
Everyone is welcome to bring your own ideas for games, issues you want to tackle by designing a game or games you want to tinker with or just try out facilitating. By playing games we are exploring new ways to deal with social complexity at work by playing games and simulations, turning problems into learning opportunities by co-creating games and connecting with peers to spread the Agile mindset.
A short history ...
Stefan Haas (http://www.haaslab.net/) and Stephan Schwab started the Agile Game Lab with the first event (http://blog.haaslab.net/2012/09/blame-on.html) Sep 2012 at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=KW+Institute+for+Contemporary+Art+%E2%80%93+KUNST-WERKE+BERLIN+e.+V.@52.5267544,13.3949724&z=10) in Berlin. In 2013 Georg Baumgarten and Katia Vara helped to host an Agile Game Lab at Wooga (http://www.wooga.com/2013/02/agile-game-lab/) which brought for the first time people from game development and agile together. More friends joined the organizer crew setting up ad-hoc game events. Then Janis Bode took up the idea meeting Stefan at the Scrum Day Berlin and offered to host the next session Jul 2013 at Gameduell (http://www.gameduell.com/). Since that time, the AgileGameLab was hosted by various companies. In 2014 Stefan asked his co-worker Jens Otto Lange (http://www.jensottolange.de) to support him as a facilitator and organizer.
Today, the AgileGameLab is run by Stefan and Jens from #PoDojo (http://www.podojo.com) about every two months on a Thursday in a barcamp / open space set-up.
