Talk: How to Get the Most from AI in Your Organization Today?
Notes from the Speaker: Most organizations already adopted AI are either stuck in AI demo hell or rushing into production without proper foundations. Having spent the last three years building AI systems and leading the transformation of AI platforms at scale, the speaker has repeatedly seen the same three critical gaps derail AI initiatives across organisations of all sizes.
In this talk, the speaker will share the three essential pillars that separate AI success stories from expensive failures:
- Leveraging AI coding assistants for immediate productivity gains
- Implementing observability and evaluation frameworks that prevent costly mistakes
- Building high-performing AI teams through strategic talent development20:15 - 20:30; Announcements

Talk: Why do 67% of AI projects fail? And what leads to success?
Abstract: Despite massive investments and excitement around AI, the reality is stark: most AI projects fail to deliver meaningful business value. Our recent survey of 64 experienced AI practitioners from the DACH region confirms this challenge, revealing that 67% of AI projects fail, with generative AI projects showing even higher failure rates according to MIT research reaching 95%. This talk examines what drives these failures and what characterizes the successful minority. Based on detailed practitioner responses, we'll explore why organizational challenges consistently outweigh technical ones in determining project outcomes, and examine how generative AI's rapid prototyping capabilities create unique management challenges.Speaker II: TBA
