Cocktails & Code is a cozy and rather small meetup where we talk about tech and IT, exchange experiences, learn from each other and try new things 🍹 Our meetups take place on Discord until further notice.
We usually start with a small input part. If you want to present your passion project or new technology or always wanted to know something about a specific topic, send us a message to
cocktails-and-code@readytocode.org or just drop by - we look forward to hearing from you! 😊
In November 2018 we founded the non-profit Ready to Code e.V.. If you are interested in getting involved and support us send us a message or follow us on Facebook and Instagram – we are always looking for people who want to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of coders! (Especially if you have never tried public speaking before or want to become better at it, this is a great space to do so!)
Please note that we are taking photos for our social media channels. If you don't want to be photographed, you can let us know through meetup or during the event.
A small note about our target audience:
Our goal is to support underrepresented groups in IT and equality in general. This includes in particular women, trans* people, and people who do not identify with the binary gender. (If your identity is not included here and you are unsure if you're welcome, we assure you that you are! If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask us beforehand.) We want to create a safer space where you can feel comfortable, share experiences and speak about issues you might face in the outside world. That said, some of our meetups will be open for a wider target audience - we believe that cis men not only benefit from feminism, but are equally important to achieve equality.
