Unleashing Apache Kafka and TensorFlow in Hybrid Cloud Architectures

Abstract:
How can you leverage the flexibility and extreme scale in public cloud combined with Apache Kafka ecosystem to build scalable, mission-critical machine learning infrastructures, which span multiple public clouds or bridge your on-premise data center to cloud? Join this talk to learn how to apply technologies such as TensorFlow with Kafka’s open source ecosystem for machine learning infrastructures.
The talk illustrates how to build a scalable IoT infrastructure for connected cars and how to leverage machine learning in real time for innovative use cases for car manufactures like predictive maintenance or customer 360.

Title of Talk:
Situation-Aware Traffic Control -Herausforderungen bei der Nutzung von Mobilitätsdaten zur prädiktiven Verkehrslenkung

Speaker's Bio:
Thomas Liebig, Dr., ist Leiter für Künstliche Intelligenz bei Materna SE. Sein Fokus liegt unter anderem auf probabilistischen Modellen von raum-zeitlichen Daten, auf multi-modalen Routenberechnung und auf Privatsphäreschutz für verteilte Mobilitätsanwendungen. Er promovierte an der Universität Bonn 2013, wo er die probabilistische Fußgängermodellierung mit unvollständigen Daten untersuchte. Er veröffentlicht Publikationen in internationalen Konferenzen und Fachzeitschriften (ECML/PKDD, IEEE Big Data, IEEE IE, AGILE, JAOR, JUT), und begutachtet Artikel für ML Journals und Konferenzen (VAST, IEEE ICDE, NeurIPS, AAAI, NEUCOM, KDD, IV, KAIS, NCAA) weiterhin ist er im Programmkommitee der internationalen Workshops on Computational Transportation Sciences (IWCTS) und Explainability for Trustworthy ML Pipelines (ETMLP).
