Worum es bei uns geht

Meet other developers and users of Kubernetes. Kubernetes is Cloud Native Computing Foundation's orchestrator for containers at scale. It handles scheduling onto nodes in a compute cluster and actively manages workloads to ensure that their state matches the users declared intentions; runs on any cloud and any hardware. Any skill level is welcome; we’re all new to Kubernetes and we want to create an open, welcoming environment for other Cloud Natives.

We use the #nl-users channel on the Kubernetes Slack (join here: http://slack.k8s.io/) to coordinate.

Please submit your talk via https://www.papercall.io/ams-k8s-meetup

We will be hosting a Cloud Native Day on the 14th of June in Amsterdam and we have news: Kubecon is coming to Amsterdam in 2020!

Automate your infrastructure with GitOps, Terraform and Drone

Hi Kubernauts, it's time for the next Online Meetup! We're providing a virtual stage to our ContainerDays speakers so that they can share their thoughts with you. Join us! Date: July 21, 2020 Time: 6 PM CEST / 9 AM PST Via Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81426085884 Speaker: Jim Sheldon, Foundation Engineer @ Meltwater ****************************************************************************** Title: Automate your infrastructure with GitOps, Terraform and Drone Abstract: Managing a single "source of truth" git repository for your Terraform configuration can be challenging, Meltwater solves this problem with Drone. Drone is an open source container-native CI/CD tool similar to TravisCI or CircleCI. With the help of some additional tools we have developed, we manage applying our Terraform configuration through GitHub pull requests, for a single repository that manages infrastructure in multiple AWS accounts. ************************************************************************ See you there.

A Guide to Event-driven SRE-inspired DevOps

Hi Kubernauts, get ready for our next Online Meetup in July. This time Andreas Grabner will be giving a talk about "A Guide to Event-driven SRE-inspired DevOps: The end of your monolithic release process". Date: July 29, 2020 Time: 9 AM PST / 6 PM CEST Via Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84032722750 ****************************************************************************** Title: A Guide to Event-driven SRE-inspired DevOps: The end of your monolithic release process Abstract: While software architects have broken their monoliths into event-driven service architectures, many DevOps architects are still building monolithic inspired release pipelines. This results in complex pipeline code, tight integration of process and tools, lengthy diagnostics sessions to fix broken pipelines and puts strains on the underlying resources that build, deploy, test and validate. In this session we introduce a new approach: Event-driven Continuous Delivery and Operation Automation for modern DevOps! This approach decouples the declaration of processes for delivery and remediation from tooling. It uses an “everything as code” approach which includes deployment, testing, quality gate, observability, promotion and remediation definitions. One open source tool which implements this new approach is Keptn which was heavily inspired by Google’s SRE practice around SLIs & SLOs. Join us, see Keptn in action and get inspired on what the future of DevOps tooling can look like. About Andreas: Andreas Grabner (@grabnerandi) has 20+ years of experience as a software developer, tester and architect and is an advocate for high-performing cloud scale applications. He is a regular contributor to the DevOps community, a frequent speaker at technology conferences and regularly publishes articles on blog.dynatrace.com. In his spare time you can most likely find him on one of the salsa dancefloors of the world! ****************************************************************************** See you there!
