Elixir Meetup #3 - Workshop: Machine Learning with Elixir and/or Ruby

Laurens Boekhorst und Tonci Galic von Kabisa (https://www.kabisa.nl/) werden einen Workshop zum Thema Machine Learning mit Elixir und Ruby halten. Das ganze wird auf Englisch stattfinden.

Da der Workshop etwas länger dauern könnte wird diesmal pünktlich um 19:00 Uhr angefangen. Wer mitmachen will bringt einen Laptop mit. Über eventuell nötige Vorbereitungen informiere ich euch noch, falls es welche geben wird.

Das Meetup findet zusammen mit dem Ruby Meetup in Düsseldorf statt.

Die Beschreibung des Workshops lest ihr im Folgenden:

Machine learning enables software to adapt to new or different situations. The information is taken from previous situations and machine learning is used for analysis and pattern recognition. Algorithms draft new rules so that it better responds to new situations - artificial intelligence.

But how do you start?

Experience shows that you do not have to be a mathematician to apply machine learning.

The hands-on workshop focuses on text classification. You are about to evaluate texts from the Twitter API on positive or negative feelings. Attention is paid to the training, classification and evaluation of the algorithm. The workshop is designed for software developers who are interested in an introduction to machine learning and may have some knowledge of Elixir or Ruby. After the workshop you will have the tools to apply machine learning in practice.

Mit Öffentlichen: die nächste Straßenbahn Haltestelle hier ist Speditionstraße, von dort aus sind es nur ein paar Schritte zum Büro.
