Supercomputing Systems AG, Technoparkstrasse 1, 8005 Zürich, CHLight travels just 30 centimeters in one nanosecond. Nevertheless, factories, datacenters, telecom networks, power grids and financial trading systems routinely synchronize hundreds of devices to within just a few nanoseconds, often over ordinary Ethernet.
