Dear Toastmasters and Guests, we kindly invite you to join our Toastmasters&Friends boat trip.
- Date: 03.10.2023
- Who: Toastmasters, friends, family, and guests
- What we will do: see the Hamburg harbour, have Table Topics in German and English
- Meeting Point: 10:00 am „Schanzenbäckerei“ at Landungsbrücken (Hafentor 7, 20459 Hamburg)
- Embarkment on boat: 10:30 am, the Boat leaves at 11:00.
- Price: 17 EUR per person

As the 3rd Oct is a bank holiday - Tag der Deutschen Einheit - we are going to have a Toastmasters&Friends boat trip around the Hamburg Harbour organized by John Holway from First Hanseatic Toastmasters. We will meet from 10 am in the backery „Schanzenbäckerei“ at Landungsbrücken (Hafentor 7, 20459 Hamburg) – which is open on that day and they do have a toilet for guests! We can then have a drink, a snack or whatever before we then walk to get on the boat – embark. The boat leaves at 11:00 am so we will leave the bakery around 10:30 am and walk to the boat. The company is “Barkassen meyer”. The boat trip costs 17 euros and John will make block booking for the group. So please let us know via this Google form or write John directly (john.holway@yahoo.de) if you would like to join us and how many people you will be. Wir möchten auch gerne Toastmaster aus allen Klubs einladen, also bitten nicht scheu sein dabei zu sein und Freunde oder Familie mitzubringen. Wir werden Table Topics auf Deutsch und Englisch machen so nobody will be excluded. All are welcome. Refugees and all nations can come together an Bord für spass, sprechen und laughing and loving. So come and celebrate with us the Day of German Unity! Whatever the weather, we can BE together. There is a Roof on the boat! so if wet please wear appropriate clothing. The Hafenrundfahrt last just one hour and we can then continue our fun back at the Bakery if you have lust longer to party.
