Yuqicheng Zhu, PhD Student

I am a Ph.D. student at Bosch Center of Artificial Intelligence (BCAI) & University Stuttgart, who has almost four years of work experience applying AI in the automobile industry. When I was majoring in art (fashion design) in China in 2013, I would never have imagined that I am now doing AI research!

I kept painting in my free time and led several real-world AI projects at Bosch as well as at Technical University Munich, covering CV, NLP, time-series problems, etc., mainly focusing on time-series (sensor signal) processing. Two of them have been patented in Germany.

According to my previous experience, the biggest challenge of promoting AI in more areas is integrating more human knowledge into the machine learning model. So my current research focuses on Neural-symbolic AI and Knowledge Graph Uncertainty, which can model human expertise and reduce the high bar of using AI in industry.
