Bring your own song
Please share your favourite German song with us! I would ask you to send me the title the day before the workshop at the latest, and I will make sure that we have enough printed copies of the text. All musical styles and genres are welcome - whether you love pop, rock, folk, rap or classical music. Only those songs are excluded that support any kind of hatred, racism, homophobia, sexism, or anything illegal. Apart from this I would only suggest that we agree never to put down the musical taste of another participant. During our time together, we can listen to your music and speak about it. Why do you like this? What does it mean to you? Do you have any questions about the text? I can help you with vocab if needed. This workshop is suitable for people with A2 level German or higher. If you would like to take part, please let me know by the previous Wednesday, so that I have some preparation time. The price is 9 euros if you commit and book online, or 15 euros if you pay on the door. If you would like to do the latter, then please send me an email, as the system does not allow two different payment options. The workshop will take between one and two hours, depending on the number of participants. If fewer than three people have committed (i.e. paid online in advance), the workshop will be cancelled. I look forward to meeting you and your favourite music!

    Worum es bei uns geht

Practise and improve your German with the help of music (and sometimes poetry)! This is a series of German language workshops for adults. During these workshops, we will look at some German music of different styles and genres, and along the way, we will work out some grammar and vocab. No particular musical skills or training are required. All you need is an open mind and an interest in the German language and music! Unless specified otherwise, we will meet in the room of the Women's Wheel, located in Pettenkoferstraße, which is a few minutes from Frankfurter Allee station.
