Talk 1: "IRES – Intelligent Ressource Efficiency Solution auf Basis von HANA as a Service auf der SCP – Das Projekt und Lessons Learned." by Johannes Lussert

Das Projekt IRES – Intelligent Ressource Efficiency Solution für Gerolsteiner startet als Fullstack SAP HANA On-premise Prototyp und am Ende entstand eine fertige Lösung auf der SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) auf Basis von HANA as a Service. Was war unser Weg von der Idee, des Prototype auf Basis der SAP HANA Platform über die Migration auf die SAP Cloud bis zur fertigen Lösung. Welche Probleme und welche Lessons Learned gab es.

#Bio - Johannes Lussert
Johannes ist Entwicklungsleiter bei der Intense AG für das Projekt IRES und spezialisiert auf Backend Entwicklung auf Basis von SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, OData und NodeJS.

Talk 2: "Hierarchies in the database" by Jörg Brandeis

After a few basics about hierarchies and trees, I will show different ways to store them in a database and how they can be processed in SQLScript with SAP HANA. The hierarchy functions that have been available since HANA 2.0 SPS02 are a key focus here. Other highlighs are the Nestet Set format, that you can easily create with SQLScript and the processing of a parent/child hierarchy with imperative SQLScript Code. The lecture has a great relation to practical work in the area of SAP BW. However, it is more general, which is why it also applies to all other software developers involved in the processing of hierarchical data.

#Bio - Jörg Brandeis
Jörg is an independent consultant and developer with a focus on SAP BW for HANA and SAP BW/4HANA. Until mid-2015 he was a development manager for ABAP at zetVisions AG in Heidelberg. He developed and conducted a workshop on SAP HANA development and SQLScript and is experienced in training ABAP developers to use SQLScript. Jörg is the author of the SAP Press Book "SQLScript für SAP HANA".
